Organizations that know themselves inside and out are much more likely to succeed than those that do not take the time to discover their own "hidden truths."
That's why I highly recommend this book for anyone associated with nonprofits. It is indeed a "work" book, but the authors make the process fascinating and well worth the effort. I particularly like the emphasis on finding and telling an organization's stories. From the beginning of time, people have related to -- and responded to -- well-told stories. That is a facet of humanity that will never change. Yet, so many organizations are either afraid of telling their stories -- or they don't tell them effectively. This book gives tips on how to do that, and so much more.
